Club code of conduct.

Please follow the guidance to help keep riders safe on track.

These apply to all riders, members, guardians, carers and spectators.

SAFETY FIRST!

• All riders must wear appropriate safety wear, including full face helmets and gloves. Arms and legs must also be covered. If riders wish to ride the track in shorts, then long socks and knee pads that also cover the shins, must be worn.
• Riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Riders, spectators and carers must follow the rules and guidelines set by the club and British Cycling officials.

RESPECT FOR ALL

• Treat all fellow riders, spectators, officials and supporters with respect and fairness. This includes displaying good sportsmanship at all times, on and off the track. We are an inclusive club and welcome visitors and members from all backgrounds and communities.
• The club does not tolerate any hate speech or use of derogatory or offensive language relating to race, gender, sexuality, religion or disability. Any members found to be in breach of this will have their membership status revoked.
• REMEMBER! The club is run by volunteers! We all have an equal duty to support the club and its values to ensure its future success!

CLUB PROPERTY AND EQUIPMENT

• Riders must treat all club property and equipment with respect. This includes the use of loan equipment such as bikes, gloves, helmets and safety wear.
• Riders must report any damage or maintenance issues to the club as soon
• as they become aware of them to help prevent accidents and injuries.
• The general upkeep of the track, containers, toilet and surrounding area
• is the joint responsibility of all members. Please do your bit to help to keep these clean and tidy.
• Report any issues to the club secretary or chairperson.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

• Ensure that your medical information and contact details are up to date.
• For riders under 18, this responsibility falls under the parent/carer/guardian.
• The club will only retain information on riders for communications from the club and emergency contacts. We will abide by GDPR rules and do not share your information with any third parties.
• If you wish to raise a safeguarding issue, please contact the club welfare officer.
